The Reports of Travel and Tourism Competitiveness 2021 say India ranks 34th out of 140 countries which is 6 spot higher than there ranking in 2021.This improvement considered as best improvement among the top 25% of ranked countries. India has a rank of 13 out of 140 countries in price competitiveness. They also ranked Indian air transportation 33rd which is reasonably good for a country under development and for ground transportation India ranks 28th. Our country also ranks high on natural resources and cultural resources and business travel respectively 14th and 8th. However, India falls out some other aspects because tourism infrastructure on those departments remains underdeveloped. As per World Tourism Organization India holds ranks 16th in the world and 7th in Asian and Pacific countries because of its international level hotel services and low ATM penetration.
