Khasti Imam complex (Barak-khan madrasah, Tilla-shaykh mosque, mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi), construction was an expensive undertaking: sandalwood columns from India, green marble from Turkey and blue tiles from Iran point to the international underpinning given to this visible new bastion of Islam. The primary attraction of that imam stands in the center of the square: the small Muyi Mubarak library holds the oldest Quran in the world. The Uthman Quran on display is stained with the blood of the third caliph Uthman who was murdered while reading it in 655. Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari (outside), Amir Timur Square, Independence Square, Amir Timur Museum (outside), white mosque, newly built Hilton Hotel.

Shakhi zinda consists of eleven mausoleums, which were built one after another in 14 – 15th centuries. Continue by shopping at localsiab bazar. Bibi Khanum mosque
Visit a famous meros paper mill. In the year 751, the Chinese invaded central Asia, but the ruler of Samarkand defeated their troops and captured many thousands of soldiers. To save their lives, the story goes, craftsmen among the captives revealed their knowledge of paper-making to their captors. From then on, Samarkand became a center for paper production.

It is located on a raised embankment, the height of which reaches 20 meters, and the area of the fortress is 4.2 hectares. Initially, the fortress was a closed polygon, and its steep slopes were completely lined with blocks. Before the arrival of the Arabs to the lands of Bukhara, the ark fortress served as the seat of the Bukhara rulers. During the reign of the Karakhanid dynasty and the invasion of Genghis Khan, the fortress was repeatedly destroyed. Only in the Xvi century, under the rule of the Sheibanid dynasty, did the ark take its final form.
